Why check your title and description?
Search engines decide whether to show your page based on more than keywords, but the title and description are the parts people actually read. If the title runs too long, Google cuts it. If the description is missing, Google invents one from your page.
This checker fetches the live page and grades four things: the title tag, the meta description, the H1 heading and where your focus keyword appears.
How to check a page
- Enter the URL of the page you want to review.
- Add a focus keyword if you want to see where it shows up.
- Press check and wait a few seconds.
- Read the verdict on each card and the Google preview below.
- Fix the weak points and re-check until every card turns green.
What the checks mean
- Title too long gets marked as a fail because it gets truncated in results.
- A missing description is a fail because Google will write its own.
- Multiple H1 headings are a warning because they confuse the page structure.
- A keyword that never appears in title or body is flagged so you can fix it.
How often should you run this check?
Run it before publishing a new page and again after any redesign. Content management systems, plugins and themes can change your meta output without you noticing, so an occasional check keeps things honest.
