What merging a PDF means
Merging PDFs means taking two or more documents and combining them into a single file, page by page, in the order you choose. Open the tool, add your PDFs, arrange them the way you want, and download one merged document instead of juggling several.
When you actually need this
It comes up more often than you’d expect. A job portal wants one combined resume with certificates. An accountant wants receipts in a single file. You scanned several pages and want them back as one document. Instead of emailing five files and hoping they arrive together, you send one clean PDF.
How to merge PDFs
Add your PDFs with the button above or drop them into the box. The files appear in a list, and the order of that list is the order the pages end up in the merged PDF. Drag a file to move it, or use the arrow buttons next to each one. Remove a file you don’t need with the X. When the order looks right, press Merge PDFs. The result downloads automatically, usually in a second or two.
A few things worth knowing
Each page keeps its original size and orientation, so a mix of landscape and portrait pages stays exactly as it is. Everything runs in your browser, so your documents never get uploaded anywhere. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked before you merge them. Form fields and bookmarks don’t carry over — merging combines the pages, not the interactive extras. And if the merged file feels heavy, run it through the PDF Compressor afterwards.
