Why broken links hurt

A dead link sends visitors to a page that does not exist, which frustrates people and wastes your credibility. Search engines also notice and can treat broken pages as neglected.

This checker extracts the links from any page, or accepts a pasted list, and tests each one in batches until you have the full picture.

How to check your links

  1. Paste a page URL and extract its links, or paste your own list.
  2. Review the list and remove anything you do not want tested.
  3. Press check and watch the results fill in.
  4. Sort through the ok, redirect and broken entries.
  5. Fix the dead links by updating or removing them.

Reading the results

  • OK links load normally and can stay.
  • Redirects still work, but consider updating them to the final URL.
  • Broken links return a client or server error and should be fixed.
  • Errors mean the link could not be reached at all.

When to run a check

Run it after any big site change, before a marketing push, or once a month as routine upkeep. Fixing a handful of dead links takes minutes but keeps the whole site feeling cared for.
